Morpho RD Registraion Process

Morpho RD Registraion Process

Morpho RD Service is a software that helps users install and use the Morpho MSO1300 Biometric Fingerprint Device. This device is compatible with Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10 (32-bit and 64-bit) and can be integrated with custom business applications. It is important to note that all biometric devices for Aadhaar authentication must be registered with UIDAI since October 1st, 2017.

The registered device service provides several key features, including:

  1. Device identification – every device has a unique identifier, which allows for traceability, analytics, and fraud management.
  2. Elimination of stored biometrics – biometric data is signed within the device using the provided key, ensuring it is captured live. The Registered Device (RD) Service of the device provider must then form the encrypted PID block before returning it to the host application.
  3. A standardized RD Service provided by certified device providers.

To use the Morpho RD Service, the Morpho 1300 biometric fingerprint device must be registered with UIDAI. To install the service, follow these steps:

  1. Go to https://rdservice.in/ and click on the “Morpho RD Driver (PC) WINDOW” link to download the driver.
  2. Save the file “Morpho RD Service Driver WINDOW {2.0.1.60}” to your computer.
  3. If you have an old version of the Morpho RD Service software or driver, remove or uninstall it.
  4. Extract the downloaded zip file to your desktop.
  5. Open the folder and right-click on the file “WindowsRDService.HTTP”. Select “Run as administrator” or double-click the file.
  6. Follow the instructions in the setup wizard to complete the installation.
  7. Wait until the installation process is completed without any errors.
  8. When prompted, choose to restart your computer.
  9. After restarting, plug in the Morpho 1300 biometric fingerprint scanner. If the USB driver was installed successfully, the device should be detected (the light will blink for a fraction of a second).
  10. When you run the business application integrated with the Morpho RD Service, you may be prompted to enter a Morpho One-Time-Token or Activation Code if the connected device is not whitelisted.

If you encounter any issues with the Morpho RD Service, including “Device Registration Failed” on Windows 7, you can find a solution by downloading and installing the TLS 1.2 SSL component. To do this:

  1. Go to Download and download the file “TLS.reg”.
  2. Double-click on the “TLS.reg” file and follow the instructions on your screen.
  3. Restart the RD Service by following these steps: a. Go to Run and type “services”. b. Right-click on “services” and run it. c. On the Services screen, right-click on “Morpho RD Service”, select “Stop”, then right-click on it again and select “Start”.
  4. Check the device registration status. It should now be registered successfully.

In conclusion, the Morpho RD Service is a software that enables users to use the Morpho MSO1300 Biometric Fingerprint Device with custom business applications. To use the service, the device must be registered with UIDAI and the RD Service must be installed following the steps outlined above.
