How to install Morpho MSO / CBM E series devices.

Before installation, we must have to understand that there are multiple methods which work differently depending on the devices and Operation System you are using.

Morpho RD Services Installation Document for Windows Introduction

  1. The purpose of the document is to assist end-user in the installation of Morpho RD Services and using it with the MorphoSmart TM Biometric Finger Print device.
  2. S/W Requirement Prerequisites for S/W MORPHO Biometric Finger Print Device is successfully integrated with the customer business application.
    Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 (32-bit and 64-bit)
  3. Installation Steps
    a. Run ‘MorphoRdServiceL0SoftSetup.exe’ with the administrator
    rights to install the RD Service and follow the instruction in
    setup wizard to complete the installation.

On successful installation, please make sure the following path is created on C
Drive with 35 files.

Window in Administrative Mode
netstat –ab
In case of successful installation, the following RD Service status would be shown
 Plug in the MORPHO Biometric Finger Print Device. If the MORPHO USB driver is
installed successfully, the device would be detected (light will be blinked for
fraction of a second).

MORPHO RD Service installation & HTTPS Configuration steps
Install RD Service:
Steps:

  1. Open the Exe folder included with the RD package.
  2. Right-click on exe and run as administrator.
  3. Follow the instruction in the setup wizard to complete the installation.
    MSO Device Driver Installation:
  4. After RD Service installation restarts the system then Connect
    the whitelisted Morpho biometric scanner to the system. After connecting
    the device to the system the device driver will be installed.
  5. If the device driver is not installed then follow the below steps:
    A) Right-click on Computer and click on manage. B) Now click on Device Manager and check Morpho Smart CBM
  6. driver under Universal Serial Bus Contro

C) If the driver is present there with a yellow warning sign then Right-click on the device driver icon->click on Update Driver- > “Browse My Computer for Driver Software” -> Let me Pick from a list of device drivers on my computer->Have Disk->Browse->go to
“C:\Morpho\MorphoSmart USB Driver” and select
”usbBioDriver.inf”” in Driver search location and click on next for
completion of manual driver installation and restart of the machine for
driver installation finalization.
After restart, it should show as below in the Universal Serial Bus
Controllers in the device manager:

D) If the device driver is not showing under Universal Serial Bus
Controllers then please check under Other Devices there will be
driver icon of Unknown Device

E) Right-click on the Unknown Device icon->click on Update Driver- >
“Browse My Computer for Driver Software” -> Let me Pick from a list of device drivers on my computer->Have Disk->Browse->go to “C:\Morpho\MorphoSmart USB Driver” and select
”usbBioDriver.inf”” in Driver search location and click on next for completion of manual driver installation and restart of the machine for driver installation finalization.
After restart, it should show as below in the Universal Serial Bus Controllers in the device manager:

MSO Device Registration:

  1. After device driver installation, the device need to be registered.
    Note: After successful device registration please restart Morpho RD Service to get an update from Management Server.
    How to restart Morpho RD Service:
  2. Click on start and type services.msc in the RUN window.
  3. Now in windows services go to MorphoRDService and restart it

Https Configuration:
Change in host file:

  1. Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc, copy the host’s file on the desktop
    and open it in notepad
  1. Now type Localhost IP i.e. (127.0.0.1) and certificate name i.e.
    (localhost) in host, file like above and save it.
  1. Make sure that host’s file name should not be like hosts.txt. To verify
    the same please follow the below steps:
